$10 – $140
Terry Baker Motorsport Weekend 2026 poster — TCCA and RSOCVic, 16-17 May 2026 at Haunted Hills

Join RSOCVic and Toyota Car Club Australia for the 2026 Terry Baker Motorsport Weekend — two days of friendly club-vs-club motorsport at the Haunted Hills GCC track in Yallourn. Pick any one event or do the full weekend: a scenic Touring Road Event on Saturday morning, a Motorkhana in the afternoon, and a Hill Climb on Sunday. New competitors especially welcome — Speed and Speed Junior licences are available at the event, and experienced club members will be on hand to help.

Weekend schedule

Saturday 16 May — Touring Road Event

Meet at the BP outbound service station, Monash Freeway at Officer (between Berwick and Pakenham) from 8:00am. Compulsory drivers briefing at the rear carpark at 7:55am. A 2½ hr / 155km navigated drive to Haunted Hills, on open public roads — all road rules apply. One car = one team; sealed instructions issued at 1-minute intervals. Suitable for any road car, including those towing a race-car trailer. Drivers need a current civil driver’s licence valid in Victoria — no Motorsport Australia licence is required for this portion of the event.

Saturday 16 May — Bitumen Motorkhana

Held in the Haunted Hills Hillclimb car park (Bill Shultz Drive, Yallourn) — the finish point of the Touring Road Event. Book-in from 10:45am, drivers briefing and first run at 12:00 noon, finishing around 5:00pm. Drivers 12yo+ with a Motorsport Australia Speed or Speed Junior licence. A single passenger is permitted (also 12yo+, disclaimer required). Closed shoes, shorts and a T-shirt minimum.

Saturday night — Dinner at the Morwell Hotel

Dinner and debrief from 6:30pm at The Morwell Hotel, 311–327 Princes Drive, Morwell VIC 3840. Please confirm attendance with Maurice by SMS on 0418 357 360 before 6:00pm Wednesday 13 May 2026. Remember — a zero BAC applies for Sunday’s Hill Climb, so take it easy Saturday night.

Sunday 17 May — Hill Climb

Haunted Hills GCC ground, Bill Shultz Drive, Yallourn. Book-in and scrutiny from 8:00am (aim to arrive 8:30–9:00am), drivers briefing and first runs at 9:30am, finishing around 4:30pm. Multiple runs across likely two track layouts. Drivers 14yo+ with Speed or Speed Junior licence. Ankle-to-wrist non-flammable clothing and helmet required. No passengers in the competitive runs. Log-booked cars — bring the log book for scrutiny, and HANS where applicable.

Sunday-only cruise option

If you’re only coming down Sunday — an informal cruise leaves the BP outbound service station at Officer (meet outside McDonald’s) at 7:30am for a 7:45am departure. 90 km, 60–65 min to the venue. Self-organised — event officials will not be at the meeting point.

Entry fees

  • Touring Road Event only — $10 / car
  • Motorkhana only — $35
  • Hill Climb only — $140
  • Full Event (all three) — $140

Up to 4 adults and any number of juniors may share a car, provided all are listed on the entry form. Maximum 60 entries — a third of entries is reserved for each organising club until 6:00pm on Wednesday 6 May 2026, after which remaining places open to all Motorsport Australia affiliated club members.

How to enter

Entries close 8:00pm Wednesday 13 May 2026. Pre-entry is mandatory — no entries taken on the day. Email your completed entry form, signed disclaimer, self-scrutiny form, and proof of deposit to competition@tccav.org.au. Payment by direct deposit only: Toyota Car Club Australia — Commonwealth Bank — BSB 063 206, Account 00900534 — please include your name and “TBMSWE” in the reference. Confirmation of entry by 9:00am Friday 15 May 2026.

Accommodation

Book your own — plenty of options in Morwell, Moe and surrounding towns. Rooms at The Morwell Hotel (same venue as Saturday dinner) start from around $115 single — call 03 5134 1355. Camping is also available at the track — book with Maurice by SMS on 0418 357 360 before 6:00pm Wednesday 13 May 2026.

Who can enter

Financial members of TCCA, RSOCVic, or any other Motorsport Australia affiliated car club. Any road car and most competition cars are eligible — no specific modifications required, and standard road tyres are fine. A “Road Warrior” class is planned for normal road cars that are driven to the event, compete in all three components, and run on the same tyres all weekend. Vehicles are checked at scrutiny before the Motorkhana and Hill Climb — see the supp regs above for vehicle and apparel requirements.
